Music builds… Our Hearts.

"Raise your hands, and shout YES we CAN!" - Choir students put their hearts into song lyrics

Performing, and creating music builds the heart of a child, and gives them an outlet to express their hopes and ambitions. Making art is a function of the human heart - it is an expression of who we are.

Rosie’s House choir students recently had the opportunity to put their hopes and ambitions into a song writing workshop with guest artist Quetzal Guerrero and the ASU Gammage Cultural Participation Program. The lyrics written by our students convey that they understand that through education they can make a powerful change in their lives.

It Starts with Me
There’s a lot of strife, in life today
Gotta Change Re-Arrange, and find a better way
Keep the Wheels turning, keep the world learning
So let’s all go green and keep our planet clean

It starts with you and me, so we can grow and be free
We can all do it, if we put our hearts to it
Raise your hands, and shout YES we CAN!
